Peruvian food. Amazing discovery

This picture blog shows in larger size the pictures we use to illustrate our food blog at almuerzo.wordpress.com a Spanish language blog  where we write the recipes of what we cook at home every day. Some of the recipes use hard to find ingredients outside of Peru, but most of them can be cooked anywhere in the world. We are not professional cooks and don’t have a lot of free time or any help, so the recipes are easy. We are also extremely aware of the relationship between health and food.

Our recipes are not dry formulas. They tend to be quite long and detailed and include a lot of ramblings and musings about food and its preparation. We are professional writers, and want to believe the recipes are good copy. They may be a bit hard if Spanish is your second or third language, but -in the positive side- they will surely help you enrich your Spanish vocabulary and will make you more aware of a different culture.

So, if you like the pics, please go for the copy.

I usually answer comments, so if you have any question about produce or ingredients or want to learn about alternatives, let me know, and I’ll do my best to help you. Having spent about 15 years in America, I learnt how to cook peruvian food without native ingredients.

Thanks for your visit.
